When you hear the term “pest control” what comes to mind?

Termites? Cockroaches? How about mold treatment, bed bugs, and pigeons?

Today, a professional, well established company such as Baron Solutions, does more than merely spray for bugs. They provide an array of commercial and residential services from pre-treating soil before the slab for new construction is poured to escrow or home owner termite inspections, and mold inspection. Many of the services provided by Baron Solutions require professional application. Others can be performed by the knowledgeable home owner, but not without risk.

As an example, bee removal. Bees are important to the environment, and are important to a healthy flower garden. However, unless you are an expert, chances are that you will not be able to tell a garden variety honey bee for the infamous “killer bee.” And how do you address a problem such as hives in an attic or wall?

Modern homes are designed to minimize heating and cooling costs but often the enclosed systems result in mold growth. Mold is not to be taken lightly. It is a very serious health threat. Exposure to moldy environments has been linked to a variety of health effects including nasal stuffiness or sinus infections, throat irritation, coughing or wheezing, eye irritation similar to an allergic reaction, and in some instances, skin irritation and rash. In people with compromised immune systems mold exposure has been shown to lead to chronic lung problems including infections.  A study completed in 2004 by the Institute of Medicine found sufficient evidence to link indoor exposure to mold with upper respiratory tract hypersensitive pneumonitis, and respiratory illness in children.  Here too, professional inspection is a crucial first step in dealing with this issue.

Bed bugs have become a very serious issue in recent years. You are just as likely to find them in immaculately  kept homes and hotel rooms as in filthy ones. A bedbug infestation is not indicative of poor housekeeping or dirtiness. Bedbugs may enter a home undetected through luggage after a vacation, in clothing worn in an infected location, and through used items brought into the home. In a similar manner than can infect commercial locations such as hotels. Their bodies are small enough to fit into tiny spaces no larger than the width of a credit card. Unlike bees or ants, bedbugs do not nest like but live in groups. In a relatively brief amount of time, they will spread from a single location to mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and headboards, and throughout the bedroom or other rooms. Bedbug infestations require the services of a professional.

Attesting to the value placed on professional service is a nearly 50 year history of satisfied customers. For all of your pest control needs, Baron Services.
